Supermicro is an American information technology company founded in 1993 and headquartered in San Jose, California that designs and manufactures application-optimized high-performance, high-efficiency server and storage systems as well as modular subsystems and accessories such as server boards, chassis and power supplies. Its offerings support enterprise data centers, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, 5G and edge computing environments and it provides an open industry-standard remote management suite called Supermicro Server Manager for centralized monitoring and control of large-scale heterogeneous data center infrastructure. The company sells its products directly and through a global network of authorized distributors and resellers. It was founded in 1993 by Charles Liang, Sara Liu, Wally Liaw and Yih-Shyan Liaw.
